This listing is for a Framed gicleé print of my painting titled “Expresiones Ancestrales” (“Ancestral Expressions”) from my bomba y plena series and recently completed in March ‘20. This piece was inspired by the fluidity and powerful storytelling element of dance. The musical tradition of bomba y plena has origins in West Africa and was brought to Puerto Rico in the early 17th century by West African slaves.
