Spring has indeed sprung and I’m absolutely E L A T E D. I’m longing for high doses of Vitamin D. Foliage. Fauna. Beauty, the ocean, beach and LIFE! Of course, with the gorgeous weather comes street fair and festival season — and needless to say, I’ve been busy prepping for those festivals we’ll be particpating in here in New York City. However, I took a much needed breather today to just aimlessly “create”. These cute pastel pots are a snippet of what I came up with. I spent the morning painting them & I must say, I’m pretty pleased with myself!
I completely and utterly adore the sun, ocean, sand, heat and nature in general. For me, summer brings ease, opportunities to connect with nature, simplicity and much needed doses of vitamin D. But, any New Yorker who is super sensory oriented like myself, can attest to the longing for stillness and some s p a c e to stretch without bumping into someone! So, who would’ve known that this space was right on Long Island? We went out to Jones Beach and spent a beautiful afternoon shooting. The natural light that bounced off the Atlantic Ocean was gorgeous, as was the sunset that day, which resulted in some really exquisite shots.
